School Picnic

Mumbai in the recent few years have been blessed with a lovely winter season. You know what, I love December and the wintery glow it brings to my face. Every morning getting cozy in your red soft blanket is something I miss during the rest of the year. But today morning instead of the regular alarm clock disturbing my beauty sleep it was some yelling kids in the back of the alley. It was not just 4 -5 kids, there were almost around 200 kids in the back lane.
Yelling, screeching, and running in the lane for stuffing themselves inside huge Volvo buses. Yes it was a school picnic day.

The School Picnic Day was that one day, which came only once in an academic year, in the life of a school kid where the mother’s do not have to wake them up. At least I remember I never could sleep the night before.

The crazy kids went ballistic with excitement but they made me smile. I felt like jumping out of the bed and hopping onto the bus hence I came out and told mom , “ Even I want to go to the p…

Crushed!!!!

One word and many inferences.

Crushed due to work pressure, crushed due to a heart break, crushed due to shift change, crushed due to a friend’s betrayal, crushed in the traffic, crushed by family drama, crushed by the fact you can’t give yourself time, crushed in hectic routine orrrrrrr simply crushed by someone’s charms. Hehehe; it can be anything. Well many of my friends, followers and readers noticed I was out of the blogging world for quite some time, reason behind it??? Obviously, was crushed. Now, which of the mentioned above is applicable to me? ALL of the above.

The main reason for not blogging was life was throwing tantrums and I was busy in entertaining it. And more over when you are busy entertaining life, all hobbies go for a toss.

In the past two months, weird and unexpected things have happened; yes now don’t give me the jazz of “Always expect the unexpected”. Please, for a MBA student, who is taught to utterly believe in planning, if and when things don’t go according t…

Honey Bird

Image
This snap was taken at a time when I didn't knew blogging nor did I knew some day it would be on the blog. It was a snap taken almost 8-9 years back at my best friend Saumya's home. It was her tweety bird, well I used to call it Honey bird then.
Honey bird made it to the Blog in 2010 without any specific story to it.  I had uploaded it then to make Saumya happy because I knew how much she missed this yellow fur ball. Today I was breezing through the blogs past post and found this yellow chick which made me miss my best friend :( sniff sniff.
Sweet memories like this help bring smile back on your face even after you receive a mail from your boss asking for End Of Day aka EOD Status Sheet at 11 in the night, yup you guessed it right, just finished answering that mail, grrrr.
None the less, I am smiling so no loss at all thanks to Saumya, Honey bird, my knack for clicking with my cellphone and of course my boss :)

Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani

Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, shuru hui un dono ki prem kahani. Jana pada Raja ko durdarash,ab kese badhe aage yeh kahani, kya karegi Rani?

Simple she will get herself registered on all the cheap VOIP sites, get the best call rates on her cell, procure high speed internet and what else yes of course get all the messengers downloaded on her computer just to be in touch with her love. The Raja will do the same as well none the less.

There was a time when I loved the movie , Mene Pyaar Kiya and especially the song, Kabutar ja Ja, Pehle Pyaar ki Pehli Chithi sajan ko de aa. (Giggles, tickling giggles). But now when I see the song i am like Thank god now i Can tweet the guy over Twitter and say i love you instead of going for a pigeon hunt.

Yes we belong to an age where the social networking sites were responsible for shattering the purity of love. Every other day my mom would read out one awful incident from the daily newspaper indicating association of these social networks.

Yet on the othe…

My First Day..

We humans always try to pre-empt situations but sometimes you need to expect the unexpected. However hard we try to pre-define our future it always has some surprises involved especially when on the, First Day!

First Day of anything...The first day of College, First Day of Work, First day in your new home, etc.. Starting with a new phase in your life always is accompanied with lots of excitement, optimism, and confusions.

With me, surprises are not new but the three very special phases of my life started off with a bang. My First Day at College, then at Work and now at MBA-college, all were interesting.

At College: Like seven years back.
Dnyanasadhna College, Thane

After securing very low marks in 12th and with an intention of getting into hotel management which my folks opposed big time I was not left with many options. Since I was good with computers and the computers were good for me my dad took me to the nearest college from my house and we took admission for Bsc. Comp Science Cour…

I'll Be There.....MJ

My Fav of the MJ album:
You and I must make a pact
We must bring salvation back

Where there is love, I'll be there I'll reach out my hand to you,

I'll have faith in all you do

Just call my name and I'll be there

Chorus:

And oh - I'll be there to comfort you,

Build my world of dreams around you

I'm so glad that I found you

I'll be there with a love that's strong

I'll be your strength, I'll keep holding on

Yes I will, yes I will

Let me fill your heart with joy and laughter

Togetherness, well that's all I'm after

Whenever you need me, I'll be there

I'll be there to protect you

With an unselfish love I respect you

Just call my name and I'll be there
(Chorus)
If you should ever find someone new

I know he'd better be good to you

'Cos if he doesn't, I'll be there

Don't you know, baby, yeah yeah

I'll be there, I'll be there, just call my name, I'll be there

(Just look over your shoulders, honey - ooh) I'll be there, I'll…

Hello..uh..Sorry wrong number!

This is one line I can bet blindly onto that many of us have said at least once in their entire lifetime. Actually it will be more than once for sure, just being pessimistic here. Especially when you are awaiting an important call you get a call asking, kya mein yadav ji se baat kar raha hoon????:)
There was a time I had got one call, the person was asking me the price of 5 liters of cow milk:) He thought I owned a dairy, I wish. Then there was a person who inquired for some Mr. Patil. I declined politely for like 3 times but then the 4th time I said he has gone out of town for the next 30 days. I didn't get an inquiry again for MR. PATIL :)  Do let me know if you have received any such wacky calls. We can have a buzz discussion for the same:)
But it is a very rare incident that a wrong number turns out to be a very good friend of yours in the future. One busy Monday morning at work. Got an sms on my cell stating that the consignment has been loaded along with an invoice number ple…

THE TWO,FINALLY GOT MARRIED!

This is one topic I wanted to discuss, share or write about since the thought of blogging occured to me. But then I wanted to potray it out in a different style or something which the world has not read before.
Since the very famous Chetan bhagat has his latest creation based on the same topic.Yep, Two States.

Two indviduals from Two different cultures in love with each other. A tale told with great enthusiasm and good sense of humour. Hence to write something related to the same topic made me conscious. Finally shedding my inhibitions about my writing skills I am just going to tell you about my two friends who fell in love, struggled to get a parent approval and then the  two finally got married.

South meets the West, Mallu guy and Marathi gal.

I was the last one in the group  who came to know about their relationship and the most surprised one as well. During the last days of our graduation, the gang suddenly had only one topic to gossip about. What started off as a gossip later o…

a red rose:)

Recollecting the first time you received a rose especially a Red Rose :)????

I bet al the gals who read the title are now definitely lost in the moments of their red rose. Some gals might remember that one special red rose and some popular females might be taxing their brains really hard to count al the red roses:) they have received from their beloved ones.
Al of a sudden what made me count the red roses i received over the years ?

Well, the other day at work I wanted the contact details of some prospect hence I called in my colleague/friend to get the same. He mentioned the visiting card is in his drawer. I got the card but i also found few dried up roses petals in it.

Actually, before he joined in an ex-colleague/friend use to use that drawer. The dried up roses petal belonged to her. Almost a month back one Saturday morning she had entered in with a big read cheeked smile. I could witness  al the stars in the constellation in her eyes that morning.

On pestering her a lot she…

Ratatouille

So its like funny things keep happening with me and this is the latest.

I return home after a really tiresome day and finally find few minutes to talk to my friend before we get engaged in our daily household chores. So while I was still  giggling over something with her, my lil bro, Shree, stood in front of me with  terror written al over his face as if he had seen a ghost.

I asked  my friend to hold on and just raised an eyebrow towards shree enquiring his stunned faced. Since he is preparing for his exams I thought probably he might have realised that he is still miles aways from completing his syllabus and want my help over some study stuff.

But al he said, that there is a tiny lil rat in the house. I was like get lost, I'm on phone ill take care of you and the mouse later and turned back to my friend to complete my conversation.but he did not move a muscle.

If you want to loose weight do not join the gym get a small rat, mouse whatever you cal it and leave it in your hous…

It was not a bad day after all….

Philosophers say if you are living you have something to learn every moment, just keep a window of your mind open to grasp some fresh thought. Now don’t ask me who said this but more or less philosophers conclude a similar thought.

Philosopher, that is a thinker of positive thoughts or logical thoughts, is not necessary a famous personality. A common man who faces the heat of life is a greater philosopher. He has faced the music, gone through the pain and have come out of it with a smiling face hence his philosophy is more proven I feel.
This weekend my convocation ceremony for masters was announced at the Fort University. Technically my visit to the ceremony was a complete waste if I had not met this girl in the train.

The students who had honors in respective subjects were the ones to be felicitated that evening and the rest of the student would receive the degree at their respective colleges, the university changed its rules this time else during my Degree convocation I was allowed…

Katta....!!!

Al the enthusiasm just rushes back in your feet the moment your friends call up and says, "Chuck everything out we are meeting at the katta today at 5, be there on time else you will sponsor today's treat. Now move fast."

The work files pending on your desk just got completed with maximum efficiency and your bike just races the prime time traffic to reach the Katta:)

Each one of us has that one special place in our lives which has its importance felt even when you grilled under the burden of life trauma. After a long holiday or a business trip, the moment you drop you luggage in your living room you say home sweet home, coz it just feels good to be back to the place your belong, you grow, you cry and where you laugh in spite of anything.

The katta is also a similar place just a slight difference instead of coming to relax you intend to go there to create new stories and new mischiefs with your friends.

I am very sure at some point in your life there might have been one such …

Happily ever after!

I have just started blogging and all I am getting are warnings instead of support. Yeah people are like Hims, you still have to get married, and what if your would-be-honey reads it out? You will be doomed, since he would know the things which are taboo for the Indian husband to know.

Wow!

I mean its weird how life at twenty four especially for girls (I don’t know if this is the same case with boys hence would just speak for my girl pals) just simply revolves around the buzz word Marriage.

I mean who thought writing a blog and getting married were any where related. Gosh!

So what if I write in the mistakes or the fun I had in the past 24 years, does that change the person I am today? Is the 21st century Indian male still under the influence of the age old cynical thoughts that I am allowed to do anything and everything but my wife should be al pure? No bad thoughts, no bad habits and no bad deeds for my WIFEee. I won’t go into the depths of explaining what is bad; it is left onto ind…

Jane kyun dil janta hai... tu hai toh il be alright!!

I love this song.... it is worth loving and I'm sure each one of us did dance to this tune.... probably for the foot tapping music or simply for the fact that it reminds you of that one special person who will be with you in need or in deed.

yes I'm going to tell you something about this special person in my life. al ears up and tongues wagging in for gossip, dont get you spirits so high people , im going to tell you al about my best friend and its a gal.. and no im not the ambassador of the 377 law section... so chill....

we have been together for almost for eight long years and i still cant believe that the base of our friendship was a lie. yea it was:P

actually, we were okish type of gal pals studying in the 11th std. it was then when the 12th std results were announced and i lied to her about my marks (due to the usually embarrassment to be faced after securing a low score),some how she caught me and it was that one line she said that made me be in love with her for eternity.…

why Nirvana....!!

Nirvana was an American rock band that was formed by singer/guitarist Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic in Aberdeen, Washington in 1987. Nirvana went through a succession of drummers, the longest-lasting being Dave Grohl, who joined the band in 1990.

Everyone knows this......
then is it that i like them a lot.... hence the blog name...and you guessed it... Wrong...

to be very frank enough i haven't heard any song of nirvana till date... :P

cutting the suspense... it is the name my group...my gang... 9 people (originally; now some meet some dnt...not discussing the grief...remember the motto is to spread smiles... so i continue)

as mentioned the name my group, no dnt worry out of the nine musketeers it was only one member who was in love with the nirvana... back then and that is like 5-6 years back..during the start of our graduation years bunch of us with different mindsets with different ideologies (none of us had any back then...we realise it now when we al are matured eno…

About time!

yea about time i shared my experiences with the world...

actually not just my experiences... it would be a box full of memories from my life and the lives of the people who are attached to me.

my friends, my family. my colleagues..... dnt worry im not joining the brandwagon of Me, My and Myself.... it is jus that i happen to know people who have intresting endeavours with life and do not have the time to share it out....or rather write it out...

being my first experience in writing out in public my thoughts and writing would be immautre hence kindly bare with me.

all im trying to say is... im just goin to pin out few points which i experience in my day to day routine which will help spread smiles :)
